Our Story

Deena was born from a simple belief: the people who build lives together deserve better tools to manage them together.

We believe that true partnership begins with clarity—knowing where you stand financially, what needs to be done, and having equal access to the information that keeps your household running. Too often, when one partner manages everything alone, the other is left feeling powerless. And when crisis strikes, the lack of shared knowledge can turn tragedy into chaos.

In February 2023, I lost my father suddenly. My family and I were devastated—but what made those dark months even harder was discovering how little information had been shared about how the household actually worked.

​

It took us months just to figure out how to change the alarm code. My stepmother didn't know who held the mortgage or how to access critical accounts. What should have been a time for grieving became a years-long struggle to piece together the basics of daily life.

Since then, I've traveled the country and heard countless similar stories—partners left in the dark after a loss, or people living right now in households where they feel powerless because one person controls all the information.
